Savannah Aborqui Signs with La Sierra

Savannah Aborqui has signed to extend her soccer career with La Sierra University in Riverside where she will study Biology to prepare for an advanced medical degree. Savannah is a member of South Valley’s G98 Carter squad and a 2017 Highland High School graduate. Great job Vannah!!

South Valley College ID Camp!

South Valley SC is pleased to announce this summer’s college ID camp. This camp is open to the public and soccer players interested in playing women’s soccer in college are welcome to attend. The event is an awesome opportunity for exposure. The details are:

Wed, July 26
4:30pm check-in, finish at around 8:30pm
Liberty Park

Coaches running camp are from Cal State Northridge (Div 1), San Jose State (Div 1), Cal Lutheran (NAIA) and Maters College (NAIA). Cost is $50 for players from our club and $65 for players not affiliated with our club.

Players should provide their own water, wear proper footwear, and MUST be wearing shin guards!

Sabrina Weinman Commits to San Jose State!

Congratulations to Sabrina Weinman for making the decision to extend her soccer career with San Jose State! Sabrina is a member of G01 Howlett and of the CalSouth G2001 ODP team. At San Jose State she will compete across the western part of country in the Mountain West Conference, Div1, NCAA. She will graduate from South High School in the spring of 2019. Great job Sabrina!


South Valley is honored to add Philip Arias to its coaching staff! Philip played into the Olympic Development Program from 1995 to 1999 as a youth player, and progressed into the National Team pool level. In college, he played for four years at the Div 1 level with the Loyola Marymount University (LMU) Lions from 1999 to 2003. Check out his very retro picture wearing an LMU uniform!

Philip graduated from LMU with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Business. He spent 2003 as an undergraduate coaching assistant at LMU and the spent 2004 as a graduate coaching assistant at CSUB while he pursued a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Additionally, Philip has coached for Liberty High School at the JV and Varsity Levels. Philip has joined South Valley to coach our B2005 team.

Sabrina Weinman Named to ODP Roster!

South Valley’s G01 Howlett had three players scouted during their National Cup run to the Semi-Finals . . . Taylor Lucas, Kassadi Reece, and Sabrina Weinman. All three girls participated in Cal South’s ODP Player Pool sessions, and Sabrina was named to the CalSouth ODP’s final roster this past weekend! Congrats to all three ladies and best wishes to Sabrina as she represents our club in the ODP program and tournaments for the upcoming season.
