South Valley Teams Dominate Fall Leagues!

South Valley’s teams turned in an impressive fall league season with an overall club record of 299 wins, 115 losses and 29 ties in regular league games, not counting playoff or League Cup. This equates to a 67% win rate! Not only did our players have a lot of great results and fun, but we captured the following bracket medals:

Coast League:
B2004 Shwora, Champions, Bronze
B2007 Azimika, Runner-up, Bronze
B2008 La Force, Champion, Bronze
G1999/2000 Carter, Champions, Gold
G2003 Valenzuela, Runner-up, Bronze
G2004 Mendoza, Runner-up, Silver Elite
G2005 Chambers, Runner-up, Silver Elite
G2005 Watson, Champion, Bronze

Golden Valley Soccer League:
B2009 Carter, Champions
B2009 Lundy, Runner-up
G2008 White, Champion of the BOYS 2008 bracket
G2008 Smith, Champion

In addition this these success and numerous third place finishes, Coach Lorne Howlett’s G2001 team that competes in the Coast League Premier bracket won the League Cup tournament. What an exciting fall for our teams and families!!

Monica Jiminez Commits to Newberry College

Monica Jiminez of Jason Carter’s G99/00 team has committed to extend her soccer career at Newberry College in South Carolina! She will be graduating this spring from Independence High School and attending Newberry in the fall. Her intended major is Psychology. Great job Monica!!

Alexis Wright Commits to Trinity Christian!

Another member of South Valley’s G99/00 Carter team has verbally committed to extend her soccer career with a college commitment. Alexis Wright is heading to Trinity Christian in Chicago, IL. Alexis will play in Chicago’s Collegiate Athletic Conference and study engineering. Congrats, Alexis on a job well done!

Luna Garcia Commits to Metro!

Congratulations to Luna Garcia for verbally committing to join Metro State’s women’s soccer team for Fall 2018. Luna plans to study Nursing while at Metro. Metro State (Denver, CO) competes in the NCAA D2 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and is a perennial D2 power-house!

Taylor Lucas Commits to CSU Stanislaus!

Taylor Lucas has verbally committed to continue her soccer career at CSU Stanislaus where she will study nursing! CSUS is a perennial D2 powerhouse in one of the most competitive D2 leagues in the country. We congratulate Taylor for her commitment to her craft and to our club. Taylor is on our South Valley G01 Howlett team and has played in our club since she was nine years old! Great job, Taylor!!
