B08 La Force - Vegas Jr. Cup Champions!
South Valley B08 La Force team recently took first place at the Vegas Jr. Cup Champions. They went undefeated in four matches:
Beat City Futbol Academy (Nevada), 3-2
Beat Heat FC (Nevada), 4-1
Beat Prime Soccer Club (Nevada), 4-1
FINAL: Beat NSYSL Eliminators Yellow (Nevada), 4-2

Clois Jones Commits to Indiana Wesleyan!
Kern County’s 2017 Player of Year has committed to play next fall at Indiana Wesleyan . . . congratulations, Clois! Clois Jones will graduate from Frontier High School this spring and will attend Indiana Wesleyan to major in Nursing. She has played in our club since she was 10 years-old, spending the last couple of year playing for Coach Jason Carter’s G99/00 team. Previously, she was a member of the South Valley team coached by Lorne Howlett. Great job, Clois!
South Valley Teams Win Davis Legacy College Showcase
South Valley Thunder had two teams win championships at the Davis Legacy College Showcase earlier this month. G01 Howlett and G02 Carter both won their divisions, defeating teams from the western U.S. Their matches were well attended by college coaches, and the girls had a great time competing! A job well done.
Savannah Aborqui Signs with La Sierra
Savannah Aborqui has signed to extend her soccer career with La Sierra University in Riverside where she will study Biology to prepare for an advanced medical degree. Savannah is a member of South Valley’s G98 Carter squad and a 2017 Highland High School graduate. Great job Vannah!!
Michelle Vargas Signs NLI to Play for Peninsula!
Michelle Vargas will extend her soccer career at Peninsula College located on Washington state’s beautiful Olympic Peninsula. Michelle is a member of Jason Carter’s G98 team, and she will study Kinesiology/Sport Medicine while playing for the North Western Athletic Conference’s perennial national power-house. Great job, Michelle!!
