South Valley’s G95 team is the 2011 CSL U16 League Cup Champion! Their month-long run at the title that over 80 teams initially sought included 6 matches resulting in 6 wins. In the process, they tallied 16 goals with only 4 goals scored against. After winning Sunday’s championship game, coach Shelby Klippel was extremly proud of the girls. Klippel commented, “This team’s hard work and dedication has paid off this season. The girls finished a strong second in our Gold league bracket, and now also winning League Cup shows our consistent competitiveness.”
South Valley Teams played in various southern and central California tournaments over Labor Day weekend. SVSC G99s, coached by Lorne Howlett were Champions at the Odyssey South Soccer Fest in Visalia, winning all four of their matches! SVSC G98s, coached by Dominic Othart, were finalists in the Chelesa Kickoff Classic in Fulerton. And SVSC G93s, coached by Jason Carter, were finalists at the Simi Valley Ecplise tournament. These are great results and are a nice reward for a summer of dedicated training!
Congratulations to the South Valley G98 Othart girls’ team for a great showing this weekend in the top-flight of the OC Kick-off Classic.
